Town and Country Fires is a family run business set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, started back in 1978 by Alan and Ruth Thurlow, and selling mainly woodburning stoves and cookers. After gaining experience in selling various cast iron stoves, they came to the conclusion that stoves made with a good grade of steel were more durable. Following lots of research and development they began to manufacture their own range of gas fires and gas fired stoves, and were later joined in the business by their daughter Nina and son Philip.
